You have reached one of the oldest and largest tree farms in Southern Michigan. We started in the 1930’s and are still going strong into the new century. We have two locations: one in Brooklyn, Michigan on Monroe Pike and another on I-94 between Jackson and Ann Arbor.
Providing the experience of getting out into the country and harvesting a fresh cut tree has become a full time business for us. We have always tried to enhance this experience for every family that visits the Arend Tree Farms.
We have changed, through the years, the types of trees we grow to meet the public demands. What once was a market for just Scotch Pine has changed to very few pines and mainly firs, the newest being Fraser and Canaan. We try to make every species available. We also provide the newest innovations of the industry to our customers such as balers for easy transport of your tree, shakers for clearing the unwanted debris out of your tree, and the newest tree stands on the market.
Some of our special attractions on weekends at our Grass Lake farm are the horse-drawn wagons that take you to the cutting areas. These Belgium draft horses are a treat most children and adults have never seen. Another attraction is the 150 year-old country church that is adjacent to the farm. Many families make it part of their holiday tradition to stop by the church for homemade donuts and cider or to purchase unique Christmas craft items..
We also provide pre-cut trees priced as low as five dollars for the budget minded. These smaller trees used to be call “Charlie Brown trees” and we would give them away, but through the years, our quality has improved so we really don’t have anymore trees that qualify as “Charlie Browns”. Our main objective is to provide a friendly and memorable experience for your whole family. We look forward to seeing you. |
